There are so many clubs in Ibiza that each relies on the services of their reps to pull the punters in each night. You need to be energetic and personable to do this job but it also allows you to be creative as you can think of ways to get people’s attention and persuade them to come to your club.

This is a way to be in the party all night and get paid to do so. The obvious difference is that you will have to stay sober, although the benefit are that you will normally get cheap or free drink once you finish and you will have free time during the day.

Diving instructor

For those who enjoy being outside, diving instructing gives you an opportunity to explore the surrounding waters and to pass your passion and expertise onto locals and visitors to the island. You will obviously need the relevant experience and qualifications to do this job.

If you are happy to be inside and have a passion for customer service then this is a good option for you. Doing this job you can genuinely enhance your career aspirations in this field. Languages and qualifications may be required.

Advice for getting work in Ibiza

  • The earlier you are in Ibiza for the season, the better chance you will have of getting a job. Being there from April can be a good time.
  • If you speak both Spanish and English (or German) you will have a better chance.
  • Make sure you have enough money to support yourself as you may have to wait a month to get paid.
  • Don't be shy. You will have to get out there and talk with the bars, nightclubs and hotels and make your face known.
