5 Best Gay Clubs and Bars in Ibiza, Spain
Ibiza has a reputation as a party island, and this is not something that is limited to the straight crowd, there are also a surprising number of gay bars and clubs around the island. Below are some of the best.
Angelo (Calle Alfonso)
This is a hugely popular gay hang out, partly due to the nature of the crowd but also partly due to the size of the terrace. You perhaps wouldn’t want to spend an entire night here but it is certainly a good choice to start the night or to network before heading onto larger places.
Club Secret (Calle Alfonso)
New gay clubs can appear on Ibiza quite regularly, but they do not always have the staying power or an instant following, but Club Secret is an exception to this and is definitely worth a visit.
La Muralla (Sa Carrossa)
La Muralla in Ibiza is a good bar to visit of you are not a fan of “queens”. The crowd can slightly less outrageous than at other bars on the island but what goes on in here is fantastic, but only for the right sort of person. On most nights people entering this small bar will remove all of their clothes and party on.
Bar JJ (Calle de la Mare de Deu)
Bar JJ Ibiza is one of the original gay bars on the island and is still one of the best and attracts a cult following. Bar JJ is wothout question including on your bar hopping schedule and worthy of a full night if you are around for a while.
Amnesia (San Antonio Road)
Amnesia nightclub is one of the largest clubs on the islands and does not immediately spring to mind when you think of gay bars on Ibiza, but it has specialist nights which are dedicated entirely to the gay community. The sheer size of this club makes the specialist gay evenings absolutely fantastic, and even on non gay nights there are plenty of gay people who gather here to enjoy the world famous atmosphere.
